Someday Soon at the Tryall Club

The collection of Jamaican art is stunning, the pool faces the ocean view, and a highly productive kitchen garden ensures the freshest of produce. The famous tennis courts and well-equipped gym are both right at hand.

Someday Soon features Jamaican-influenced architecture and furnishings with a wonderful collection of original paintings by well-known Jamaican artists such as Errol Allen, Messam, and Jeffrey Samuels. Hand-knotted Persian rugs and Jamaican grass rugs add a flourish to the floors. The beautiful flow of the living space is complemented by the landscaping of exceptional quality, creating an environment that encapsulates the charm and serenity of living in the tropics.

Four spacious, equal-sized bedrooms are in the main house, and a fifth bedroom is in a private wing – all with immaculate, large en suite bathrooms with indoor as well as outdoor showers. The first floor has two bedrooms, each with two twin beds that can be converted into a king-sized bed.

The second-floor bedrooms and private wing bedrooms each have king-sized beds. Each bedroom has a flat-screen television and an iPod dock. The en suite bathrooms have a private WC and separate indoor and outdoor showers. Downstairs, the outdoor shower is part of a private garden, and upper-level showers have planters with lush tropical foliage.

Each bedroom is a private retreat with large covered private verandas that provide magnificent views of the Tryall golf course and the sea beyond. All are decorated in quintessential Jamaican style with dark woods, beautiful fabrics, and Jamaican art.

The villa offers large indoor living and dining rooms as well as two separate living and dining verandas. Every room, including the heated infinity pool and huge Spa, offers gorgeous expansive views of the sea. Both indoor and outdoor living spaces have flat-screen televisions.

The indoor dining room has seating for 12 or more and opens onto a separate covered dining veranda featuring a Jamaican hand-carved round dining table for 10 and offering spectacular views. To stay at Someday Soon is to dine well, experiencing the produce from the villa’s organic garden as well as fruit from the surrounding lime, papaya, ackee, and breadfruit trees. Bees in the garden hive provide very local honey.

There is a fabulous heated infinity pool that features a 50’ swimming lane and a 6-foot deep lounging platform, complete with lounge chairs, and incredible views of the sea. An inset infinity edge spa is heated to a comfortable 100 degrees and can accommodate 12 persons. Walls and gardens provide a private enclave enclosing the indoor and outdoor living areas and pool.

Someday Soon is the most energy-efficient villa at Tryall, featuring hidden solar panels that provide electricity, water heating, and charge the electric golf carts.

Your personal staff of six includes a chef to prepare your favorite foods, a butler to serve drinks and meals when and where you choose, and daily housekeeping and laundry services.

The Tryall Club Membership 

A significant amenity for guests in this villa is membership at the excellent Tryall Club.  On 2,200 acres, Tryall’s golf course is among the most beautiful in the world.  It's 18 hillside and seaside fairways have been home to the Johnnie Walker, Mazda, and other PGA championship events.  The resident pro offers workshops and private lessons.   The Tryall Tennis Club features 4 Agile Turf courts and 5 Nova Cushion courts, some of which are lit for night play, with world-class pros on call.  All white attire is required. 

The beach is well-planned for parents and children. Have lunch at the beach bar.  Work out in the well-equipped gym and compete in the Usain Bolt Games Room at the Great House (teens love it).  Jog the marked trails. Snorkeling, kayaking, Hobie Cat, and sunfish are complimentary. Glass-bottom boats, charter fishing, a boat to the reef, and any captained craft incur various fees.  Enjoy weekly events like a complimentary Manager’s Cocktail Party on Mondays, as well as Beach BBQ and Reggae Night beach parties for an additional fee.

*Tryall Club Temporary Membership Dues

The Tryall Club is a private club where members may use most facilities at no charge except for the tennis shop, ball boys, bar & restaurant, spa, motorized watersports, nanny services, and golf.  Complimentary amenities include the beach, non-motorized watersports, tennis, the fitness room, the Hummingbird Kids Club, Great House afternoon tea, the Manager's Cocktail Party, and various special events.

The Tryall Club requires all villa and condo guests to become members during their stay via a Temporary Membership Dues cost of US$170 (plus a 15% service charge) per week for each guest 16 years and over, or $45 per day, per person  (plus a 15% service charge) for stays of less than 7 days. Children ages 13 to 15 are at a discounted rate of $25 per child, per day (plus a 15% service charge). For children 12 years and younger, the Temporary Membership Dues are complimentary.  

Plan to pay your TMD fee at the Front Desk in the Great House when you register (see below).

Please note: Some or all hotel facilities may be closed to membership guest services during private hotel events. The Tryall Club reserves the right to change its membership packages without advance notice

REGISTRATION

When your driver brings you to Tryall, you will check in at the front desk.  You will be asked to present your passport as identification.  You will sign a waiver & need to provide a valid driver's license to use the complimentary golf carts at the villa, as well as any additional golf carts you may wish to rent.

The Tryall Club can set up an account for your stay.  A credit card is required at check-in, and a credit hold will be placed until check-out for budgetary items & signing privileges (i.e., groceries, restaurant dining, golf, and activities).  The calculated credit hold amount is approximately US$150 per bedroom per night.  If you plan to pay your Folio Account in cash, they will require a cash deposit.  If you plan to pay by credit card, they will place a hold on your card.

Golf Cart Waiver & Indemnification

If you would like to use the golf carts supplied by the villa, you will be asked to sign a golf cart damage waiver form on arrival.

You agree to always operate the golf cart safely and courteously at The Tryall Club. You agree to be responsible for any or all damages and replacement costs if you use the golf cart during your stay.  You also agree to the following rules:

• Golf Cart Operator must be a minimum of 18 years of age and must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Golf Carts must be operated properly. Horseplay, racing, or other misuse of the golf cart will not be tolerated.  Golf Carts must remain within the gates of the resort and are not permitted outside the gates.
• Passengers must always be seated when the cart is in motion. Feet/legs, arms, and the entire body must remain inside the cart.
• Report any malfunctions or cart problems to management immediately.
