Dunn’s River Beach

Located at the base of Dunn’s River Falls, this beach is famous for its cascading waterfall and crystal-clear waters. Visitors can climb the falls or relax on the wide stretch of sand, which is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. The beach also offers changing rooms, showers, and nearby food and drink vendors.

Mahogany Beach

A small but lively beach with a vibrant atmosphere, Mahogany Beach offers water sports like jet skiing, parasailing, and banana boat rides. Visitors can also enjoy beach bars, local cuisine, and a dock for boat trips to other parts of Ocho Rios.

Turtle Beach

A popular public beach among Jamaicans. It features soft white sand and clear turquoise waters. On weekends it can be busy with a young vibrant crowd listening to reggae music or even live bands. Grab a beer and an umbrella!

James Bond Beach

Named after its appearance in the James Bond movie “Dr. No,” this public beach offers a wide expanse of white sand and clear waters. Visitors can enjoy water sports, beach bars, and local cuisine, as well as nearby attractions like a museum and art gallery. It also features a dive shop.

Reggae Beach

A popular beach with a lively atmosphere, Reggae Beach features live music, beach bars, and water sports like jet skiing and parasailing. Visitors can also enjoy local cuisine, relax on the sandy beach, or take a dip in the clear Caribbean waters.

Sugar Pot Beach

A secluded beach with a very rustic but good bar attached.

Doctor's Cave Beach

Don’t want to drive 40 minutes to Negril? Drive 15 minutes to a pristine Riviera-type white sand beach and gorgeous translucent aqua water in Montego Bay. Doctor‘s Cave Beach allows no radios, no footballs, and no vendors. Crowd is a Jamaican-Euro-American mix. The beach is large, beautiful, secure, and well-managed. Tiled changing rooms are immaculate and offer inside and outside showers. Water sports are available for reasonable fees and three 20’ water trampolines are free. The Groovy Grouper Bar & Grill is a short walk across the sand. The open-air snack bar sells patties and burgers. The admittance fee is $8 (adults)/$4 (children under 12) and all services (beach umbrellas, canvas sling chairs, floats) start at $7. Take towels from your villa or rent towels for $3. Snorkel equipment costs more. For souvenir shopping, the lively “hip strip” is just outside the gate.

Near Doctor's Cave Beach in Montego Bay. This is a less elegant but more lively beach and park that preteens and teenagers love. It features a full gym, theme bar, and restaurant, souvenir shop, all water sports, playground, go-carts, music, night club, diving, jet skis, glass bottom boat, snorkeling via offshore boat to the nearby reef, and security. The admittance fee is $10. Activities fees vary and are reasonable.

Doctor's Cave Beach and Walter Fletcher Beach are within a 10-minute walk or a 1/2-minute drive of each other. I.e., guests wishing to read a novel and take a nap in the serene ambiance of Doctor's Cave Beach can be satisfied while their children romp on playful Walter Fletcher Beach nearby.

The 2,200-acre Tryall Club is among the world's most beautiful golf courses. Tryall's 18 hillside and seaside fairways have been home to the Johnnie Walker, Mazda, and other PGA championship events. In-house greens fees are offered to The Tryall Club guests. The resident pro offers workshops and private lessons. The Tryall tennis club features nine Nova Cushion courts, some lit for night play, with world-class pros on call. All white attire is required.

The beach is well-planned for parents and children. Have lunch at the beach bar. Work out in the well-equipped gym and compete in the new Usain Bolt Games Room at the Great House (teens love it). Jog the marked trails. Snorkeling, kayaking, Hobie Cat and sunfish are complimentary. Glass bottom boats, charter fishing, a boat to the reef, and any captained craft attract various fees. Enjoy the week’s events, including the Monday Night Manager’s Cocktail Party and the Wednesday and Friday night beach parties and buffets.

On the hill, enjoy the historic Great House for daily 4:00 tea and sweets. Shop at the convenient commissary and chic boutique, and meet for happy hour and snacks at the casual bar. Also at the Great House is the new Usain Bolt Games Room open all day and night for ping pong, pool, air hockey, foosball, shuffleboard, chess and checkers, board games, comfy reclining chairs, and HDTV. And don’t miss the massive Tryall pool (ping pong table there too). The Tryall Club is thoughtfully designed to please toddlers, preteens, tweens, moms, dads, and everyone from teens to octogenarians.

A special amenity available to guests in this villa is membership at Round Hill just minutes from the villa and one of the finest private resorts on Jamaica's North Coast. Round Hill offers a beach, pool, chaise lounges, towels, jogging trail, gift shop, logo shop, library with computer, bar, afternoon tea, Wednesday Manager's Cocktail Party, basketball court, tennis courts, and unforgettable long sunsets from the waterfront terrace. Guests must check in at the front desk on your first visit before enjoying the amenities at Round Hill.

  • Kids’ Club: The cost for Pineapple Kid’s Club is US$27.50 daily per child. Children three years to twelve years old. Children zero to three years old same cost but must be accompanied by a nanny. The hours of the Club are 9 am-5 pm. Lunch is not included (parents collect children for lunch).
