Take away the view and what’s left?
It’s quiet. The rustle of the trade winds and the lapping of the waves on the beach are the sound system.
It’s really on the beach. Perhaps your dream of the perfect beach house is a villa that’s smack on the beach and has loads of doors, windows, louvers, ceiling fans and even a soft lawn that invites barefoot walks to the edge of the sand and sea. Got it: 24 louvered doors in the living room. 38’ walk from breakfast table to feet in the sand. 50’ swim or kayak to a live reef.
It’s pretty. Not pretentious, just very pretty. Peach and cream, pink and green, yellow and blue.
It’s entertaining. Flat screen TV’s bring in dozens of cable stations. A SONY MP3 makes the rafters ring. The Tryall Club itself provides golf and tennis, water sports and beach parties … and even a terrific kids club.
It’s delicious. Chef Suzie’s extraordinary culinary talents make mealtimes memorable. Her homemade lobster fettuccine and chocolate soufflé are amazing.
It’s for families. Two side-by-side bedrooms provide proximity for parents and children. Suzie prepares special meals for youngsters and feeds them early. Kids love to play on the beach and romp on the large, soft lawn. Beach toys provided. Nannies on request. No chlorine in the pool! Open your eyes under water. The computer-controlled salt water pool is immaculate and uses no chlorine. No tears from toddlers and the Brown Jordan chaises are excellent for kids and adults too. Meet other kids: Take the complimentary golf cart up the hill to the Hummingbird Kids Club. It's free!
Drinking allowed. A large granite bar in the living room is never more than a few feet away from anyone. Fridge and icemaker mean cold drinks are always right there – walking distance from the pool, a short trot from the beach. But don’t worry about that because …
It’s staffed! Here’s what The Gleaner wrote about Suzie and her staff: "Head of House Suzette Grant is the lady behind the award-winning Sunset Villa at the Tryall Club. Grant has overall responsibility for making sure everything is in order at the villa, with not only her staff, but the physical structure itself. She has done such a fine job that her team has copped four major Tryall awards over the last three years including … ‘Most Outstanding Staff,’ ‘Best Kept Villa,’ and most recently ‘Most Outstanding Service'."

The Tryall Club Membership
A significant amenity for guests in this villa is membership at the excellent Tryall Club. On 2,200 acres, Tryall’s golf course is among the most beautiful in the world. Its 18 hillside and seaside fairways have been home to the Johnnie Walker, Mazda and other PGA championship events. The resident pro offers workshops and private lessons. The Tryall tennis club features nine Nova Cushion courts, some lit for night play, with world-class pro’s on call. All whites required.
The beach is well planned for parents and children. Have lunch at the beach bar. Work out in the well-equipped gym. Jog the marked trails. Snorkeling, kayaking, hobie cat and sunfish are complimentary. Glass bottom boats, charter fishing, a boat to the reef and any captained craft attract various fees. Enjoy the week’s events, including the Monday Night Manager’s Cocktail Party and the Wednesday and Friday night beach parties (Friday Seafood Night on the Beach Buffet is excellent).
On the hill, enjoy the historic Great House for afternoon tea and a magnificent view from the terrace.
