Sundown is an exquisite staffed home on a private white sand beach next to the turquoise waters of Discovery Bay. Interiors are beautifully decorated in rich fabrics on dark wicker and mahogany. Living and dining room floors are marble.

Home-cooked meals are served inside or al fresco on the verandah. As a special treat, the staff will plan a torchlight beach party with chicken, chops, steaks, lobster or fresh fish sizzling from the outdoor grill.

While Sundown offers some complimentary water sports equipment, more is available for rent just across the bay. In lively Ocho Rios 30 minutes away are night life, excellent restaurants, shopping, open-air craft markets, swimming with dolphins, spas, rafting on the Martha Brae, Mystic Mountain, ziplines, bobsled thrill rides, Dunn's River Falls and tours of a working plantation. Driving time from the Montego Bay airport to Sundown is 60 minutes. Discovery Bay is a pristine aqua jewel on Jamaica's north coast boasting some of the Island's most beautiful private homes. Sundown is one of the best.

Accommodations

All bedrooms have televisions, walk-in closets, air conditioning, ceiling fans, bedside clocks with radio/CD players and en-suite bathrooms with lighted makeup mirrors.

  What an incredible experience! When 7 couples began thinking of a way to celebrate all of our 40th birthdays, none of us could have guessed how special, almost magical, our decision to rent Sundown would be. What a blessing this was. Sundown is a beautiful home in a spectacular location but all of that pales in comparison to the family (staff) who cared for us while we were there. Each and every staff member, without a doubt,

  is a consummate professional while still being the friendliest group of people you could ever hope to meet. Just like a conductor of a world class symphony, Rocky orchestrated the running of the house flawlessly from the early morning hours of one day and carrying into the wee hours of the next morning. He did everything with an amazing smile no matter what time of the day. As Rocky's right hand man, Jamar is quick to arrive and to satisfy every need. He manages to blend into the background when he senses it is appropriate and yet he reappears just when you may need him. The chef's were world class! Damean and Nicki prepared three amazing meals a day! None of us will ever feel as thrilled about having gained 10 pounds in 6 days! Orlando, Veronica, Donna, Jean, Owen and

  Sylwan made sure this home looked fantastic at all times and each one did not stop at merely getting the job done, but they always added personal touches and did it all with smiles that melt your heart. They were all in perpetual motion ensuring that this little bit of paradise remains just that. We hope they are aware that they are what makes Sundown so special. There are hardly words in my vocabulary that can adequately describe the privilege we all felt by sharing a week with these fine people.
