Located on beautiful Discovery Bay, Amanoka is one of the largest and most stunning villas in this collection. From the spacious verandah and pool, a barefoot stroll leads down a soft lawn to the 70’ white sand beach, clear turquoise water and waterfront gazebo with suspended canvas swings.
True to its name, Aman-oka is a “peaceful home” of exquisite design and restful ambiance. Quiet interiors are complementary textures of teak, bamboo and stone from Jamaica, China and Indonesia. Delicate orchids accessorize every room and bath. Meandering lily ponds, fountains and gardens and more orchids grace the exterior.
The Amanoka compound consists of the Main Villa and The Annex ... linked by a landscaped walkway through an interior courtyard.
Each day begins with fresh-squeezed orange juice and fresh-ground Blue Mountain coffee, fruit, bagels and muffins on the verandah buffet ... followed by full breakfast when all guests are ready. Extraordinary lunches and memorable candlelight dinners are served on the al fresco verandah or waterfront deck. Cocktail hour canapés and hors d’oeuvres are offered each evening around the verandah bar. The chef will also plan a torchlight beach party with chicken, chops, steaks, fresh fish or lobster served sizzling from the outdoor coal grill.
Unique to Amanoka is its floating spa in a tropical pavilion. The spa sits on a landscaped lily pond bordered by soothing waterfalls. Spa treatments by holistic specialists are available for various fees. Adjacent to the spa is the air-conditioned gym with Precor Elliptical, treadmill, free weights, fitness DVD's, balls, mats and music. Just across the lane is Amanoka's own Novacrylic surface tennis court, lit for night play. Racquets are provided. Amanoka is a virtual resort within itself.
The state-of-the-art kitchen has a 6-burner gas stove, Jenn-Air double oven, microwave, dishwasher, bottled water server and gas grill. Because cuisine at Amanoka is extraordinary, the typical grocery budget here is $60-$70 per adult per day, $25 per child per day.
Kayaks, sailfish and snorkel gear are complimentary. More water sports are available just a few minutes drive around the bay. In lively Ocho Rios 30 minutes from Amanoka are night life, restaurants, shops, open-air craft markets, more water sports, rafting, jitney tours of a working plantation and dramatic Dunn’s River Falls. Driving time from the Montego Bay airport to Amanoka is approximately 60 minutes ... well worth the drive along a gorgeous seascape. The eastern shore of Discovery Bay with its lovely villas and cottages is colloquially known as
“The Riviera” ... one of Jamaica’s treasures.
If occupancy in excess of 14 guests is approved, a surcharge of $150 per additional guest per night will apply.

Dear Linda,
I just had to let you know how wonderful our stay was at Amanoka.
What a way to celebrate my 40th birthday. The villa was spectacular. We just loved the open air feel and the tranquil grounds, and the staff was outstanding!
Steve and his team were super. We didn t need or want for a thing. The food was fit for royalty. After our first meal, I made no more suggestions. I just told Steve, Cook what you want and I knew it would be delicious.
The night of my birthday party we had signature cocktails on the verandah and moved to the beach for dinner and later, music and dancing by the bonfire.
We dined on fish, lobster and crab caught that morning, jerk chicken, steaks and lamb chops with all sorts of fresh veggies and fruit. We ended the night with chocolate dipped fruit, birthday cake and champagne. We are already planning next year s trip. This time just because . You all are so right
- after a villa vacation there s nothing else.

Dear Linda,
I want to let you know what an incredible experience our group had at Amanoka. There was a group of 12 and 9 of us were celebrating our 40th birthdays this year. Several of us have known each other for over 25 years! We considered this the vacation of a lifetime and had very high expectations, but our expectations were tremendously exceeded! The house and grounds were even more beautiful than the pictures on your web site.
The staff, however, provided the most unforgettable experience - the gourmet meals, specialty cocktails, the ever-present smiles of all the staff and the impeccable cleaning and attention to detail that made my friends and me feel like 40-year old princesses! It has been very difficult to return to then reality of careers and household responsibilities. We have all decided that the experience that was intended to be once in a lifetime will have to be at least once every 2 years! Our hats are off to you and your staff! We ll be in touch with our next reservation!
