Designed by Prince Kasimir Korybut in 1993, Almond Hill is a lovely private home located on a former coconut plantation just 20 minutes from Montego Bay and one minute from posh Round Hill where guests enjoy complimentary resort membership. The villa is tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture inside and out. Tall library shelves in the high-ceilinged living room house an abundance of books, movies and cable television.
Spacious, newly-renovated bathrooms with mirrored walls adjoin each bedroom. The master bathroom features an oversize bathtub and open shower area with floor-to-ceiling louvered doors that open to a walled garden.
Down a gentle slope a few steps from the house is the large private pool. Its spacious gazebo is a favorite spot for shaded poolside lunches.
Perhaps best of all is Almond Hill's design around the large furnished verandah ~ cooled by tradewinds and located for its superb view nine miles across the sea to the harbor and town of Montego Bay. A haven for reading and napping, the verandah is most memorable for wonderful candlelight dinners served here with the romance of distant lights reflecting on the bay.
While completely private behind its iron entrance gates and not actually within Round Hill proper, Almond Hill is just a one-minute drive from prestigious Round Hill Hotel with beach, water sports, shops, fitness center, Kids Club, indoor and beachside bars and excellent Continental restaurant. Each week, three themed beach party buffets welcome Almond Hill guests for various fees.
If you left your pets behind while you take a vacation, be advised that Almond Hill is home to some lovable family dogs who are granted free run of the house and grounds.

A significant amenity for guests in this villa is membership at the excellent Tryall Club. On 2,200 acres, Tryall’s golf course is among the most beautiful in the world. The Tryall tennis club features nine Nova Cushion courts, some lit for night play, with world-class pro’s on call. All whites required.

The beach is well planned for parents and children. Have lunch at the beach bar. Work out in the well-equipped gym. Jog the marked trails. Snorkeling, kayaking, hobie cat and sunfish are complimentary. Glass bottom boats, charter fishing, a boat to the reef and any captained craft attract various fees. Enjoy the week’s events, including the Monday Night Manager’s Cocktail Party and the Wednesday and Friday night beach parties (Friday Seafood Night on the Beach Buffet is excellent).

On the hill, enjoy the historic Great House for afternoon tea and a magnificent view from the terrace. Shop at the commissary and boutique, meet for happy hour at the bar, and browse a wealth of Jamaican, Haitian and Cuban works and souvenirs in the Gallery of West Indian Art. And don’t miss the massive Tryall pool!
