Doctor's Cave
(available to all guests)

Don’t want to drive 40 minutes to Negril? Drive 15 minutes to a pristine Riviera-type white sand beach and gorgeous translucent aqua water in Montego Bay. Doctor‘s Cave Beach allows no radios, no footballs, no vendors. Crowd is a Jamaican-Euro-American mix. The beach is large, beautiful, secure and well managed. Tiled changing rooms are immaculate and offer inside and outside showers. Water sports are available for reasonable fees and three 20’ water trampolines are free. The excellent Groovy Grouper Bar & Grill is a short walk across the sand. The open-air snack bar sells meat patties and burgers. Admittance fee is $5 and all services (beach umbrellas, canvas sling chairs, floats) are $5 or less. Take towels from your villa or rent towels for $3. Snorkel equipment and jet skis cost more. For souvenir shopping, the lively “hip strip” is just outside the gate. In 1906, Dr. McCatty donated his beach property to found a bathing club in Montego Bay. The Club got its name because it was used by Dr. McCatty and his friends, mainly medical professionals who believed in its healing waters. At that time they entered the tiny beach through a cave. The crystal clear water has
a temperature range winter and summer from 78 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit, 22 to 28 Celsius. Doctor’s Cave Beach was named one of the “best family beaches in the Caribbean” by Caribbean Travel & Life.

The Tryall Club

The 2,200-acre Tryall Club is among the world's most beautiful golf courses. Tryall's 18 hillside and seaside fairways have been home to the Johnnie Walker, Mazda and other PGA championship events. In-house greens fees are offered to Tryall guests. The resident pro offers workshops and private lessons. Complimentary shuttles or each villa's own golf cart transports guests from your villa's front door to all locations within the resort. Spend days on the sunny beach while waiters serve food and drink from the beach bar. Play tennis on nine Nova Cushion courts, some lighted for night play.
