Linda,
Our stay was perfect. The River
Cottage at Good Hope was PARADISE! The cook was great. We had the best holiday
in our life. Next year when my friends come back to Jamaica we will be your clients
again. Many thanks!

Linda, I trust that you will forgive me for attempting to convey
my thoughts and emotions on our weekend at Good Hope armed only with my dismal
writing talents and this medium. You should know, however, that we were mesmerized
by the simple beauty of not only the place but the people and that I am today
sitting in a surreal bubble in NYC, wondering if I truly spent the past few days
in such a mesmerizing space. The river, the beach!, Noel at the stables with a
million stories in each crease of his face, the staff that all love and respect
you so much, and how could I forget the candlelit dinner for two under the stars
at the Great House? We felt so special and so much a part of your wonderful
world. We will undoubtedly see you again soon, if the Gods will it.
Warmest, Nick F., Mar 2006

Linda,
Good Hope was fabulous. A perfect fit our family. Location gorgeous,
staff lovely, food terrific, weather sublime. We'd definitely be interested
in going back, pending decisions by our kids about their travels next year. Thanks
again for finding it for us, you did a great job and we're very grateful!
Best wishes and Happy New Year! Steve R., Bethesda MD, New Year's

My
God, is it tough to be back at work! Lisa and I wanted to thank you so much for
putting together a truly memorable [wedding] evening. As far as Lisa and I could
tell, it went flawlessly. The friendliness and professionalism of your staff is
a tribute to Good Hope. I have to say I was surprised at quite how beautiful the
views from Good Hope are, I had read about them and seen a few photos, but they
really don't do it justice. I've been racking my brain and I can't think of a
single complaint/suggestion that would have improved the evening. You even managed
to organize the moon and stars to come out on cue!! Once we've collected all the
photographs we'll send you one or two choice pictures (maybe even one of the congo
line!). Our guests had a brilliant time and thought Good Hope was spectacular:
excellent food, great service, unbelievable views. My mother wants to kidnap Reverend
Ottey and take him home! I'm sure that the staff, Blaise and yourself put in an
enormous amount of work behind the scenes, so please thank them all for us. If
you need any references, don't hesitate to contact Lisa or myself. We can't recommend
Good Hope highly enough. Sincerely, Lisa and William, July 2003 ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Dear
Linda, Where do I start? Phenomenal. Amazing. Perfection. These words all
apply to the unbelievable time we had at Good Hope. As far as the wedding
goes - it was the best ever. We got home on Sunday and since then every person
who attended (50) has called to tell us they are depressed at being home and
wished it could have gone on longer. It was above and beyond allour expectations.
I really cannot say enough. Tammy, Blaise, Reshma, Howie, Ali were all top
notch and impeccable when it came to our needing anything. I could go on, and
on and on and on. It was that unbelievable. Eric, Dec 2002 `````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Dear
Linda, Since this is a wedding with friends and families from both sides,
many of us did not know each other before. But in this magical environment,
we bonded instantly ~ even the New Yorkers! I'm not one of those touchy-feely
people, but this place is so incredible that I haven't stopped smiling since I
got here! I love it!!! Stephanie, Dec 2002 ````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` Dear
Linda, We're from New York and we know how to complain, ya know? But we
got so instantly mellow when we got here that it would be an embarrassment
to complain about anything. Sure, the windows are crooked and the 250-year-old
stone walls are cracked, but who cares? We are mellow! And that's what it's all
about. We are happy campers! This place is incredible! It ain't New York! Paul,

The
staff is absolutely amazing! They made our stay worth every penny and I wish I
could take them all home with us. I would certainly return and recommend it
to all my friends. I expected an American standard of luxury which it is not.
Nonetheless, it was a magical and rustic experience full of relaxation and fun
by all. The staff is truly exquisite! Especially Reshma, Mark and Patrick! When
we stayed at River Cottage, it was magical ~
with the sounds of the wildness to go to sleep by. I had a marvelous time and
we will be back next year. I would neverchoose to have my wedding anywhere else! We
felt truly Caribbean and went with the flow. Thank you for all your help. We loved
it ~ and we will see you next year ~ same time, same place. Garnette

I've
known of Good Hope for years now and we go back as often as possible. In fact,
we got married there in June. In brief: - Great value for money: old
world luxury in magical, relaxing setting with all the amenities of coastal resorts.
If you're looking for five-star Aman-type resort or to be entertained by a
fellow gringo with a baseball cap and bright white teeth or to be plied with booze
at a poolside playing games all day... then go somewhere else (all-inclusive resorts).
If you're looking for a genuine Caribbean island experience, personal and luxurious
without feeling overpampered, relaxing and inspiring then Good Hope is the place
for you. - Management: Good Hope is managed by a family who are driven by
everything but extorting tourists! The Harts are one of Jamaica's most respected
families with interests in a variety of businesses. Blaise and Tammy partially
own and operate Good Hope Estate as a home because it is their home. Reshma manages
the estate on a day to day basis. I urge you to get to know them. You will
learn a lot about the real Jamaica. - Unique experience: personally we despise
the resort thing that has grown all over the Carribean. Lock up the tourists and
their $$ and don't let them experience the vernacular. Well, Good Hope is the
opposite. Let your guard down for a minute and you will be swept away by the true
island feeling that permeates every stone on Good Hope Estate. - Services
& Activities: perfect for kids and adults. Jamaica's best kept secret is the
isolated beach 20 minutes away (ask Tony in Time 'n Place); windsurfing, fly-surfing;
excellent golfing is 45 minutes drive. Horseback riding; mountain biking into
the Cockpit Country behind the property; beautiful running/hiking trails; pool;
the lazy Martha Brae river to swim in or relax by. Food is absolutely delicious
and authentic (you won't get a hamburger unless you insist on one). Or just relax
in any of the many secret hammocks at the Great House; explore the Papaya
plantation and Ugly Fruit (Good Hope is an operating farm). And be sure to
watch at least one of the spectacular sunrises from the Sundial ... Sincerely, Niko
